Habitat & Distribution

Originated from the black tetra, which is native to the Paraguay and Guaporé River basins in South America. As a GloFish, this specific color variant exists primarily in captivity (aquariums) and is not found naturally in the wild.

Typically reaches a maximum length of 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7.5 cm). Weight is minimal, usually less than a few grams.
